Response to “Garden Registry”

I enjoyed reading the text a lot. It included both the design process of the site as well as a detailed explanation of what the site was to be used for. The project itself was also a useful tool and an art installation at the same time. I think the text showed perfectly how code and design fit hand in hand, and how necessary it is to have skills in both fields. I have a friend who dreams of creating an app that would connect gardeners in a somewhat similar sense, and I think that this text would help them as well as anyone who wants to work on developing a website/app. The creator needed to work with other people who were experts in key web development skills that she did not possess, most people will need a team to develop a complex and functional website/app. It was interesting to read that CSS was not as advanced as it is today at the time of the projects creation, and so the development team had to create a lot of the custom styling themselves.
